# Rewards

Users can allocate their xSTEAK to the rewards staking application to earn a share of real-yield protocol rewards.

Rewards are distributed in the form of one or more tokens and are distributed continuously (reward/second), through weekly epochs.

## Epochs

The distribution is based on a weekly epoch logic: every week, a fixed part of the owner-defined accumulated tokens is marked as to be distributed. This is then distributed at a constant rate over 7 days.

Rewards will be accrued from across the SteakHut platform: V1 pools, liquidity vaults, auto compounding vaults.

## Payouts handling

The rewards attributed to the reward application are paid out equally throughout 7 days, and earnt in real-time, each second by users with xSTEAK allocated to the rewards application, proportionally to their share of the total allocation.

Users can harvest their rewards at any time.

## Deallocation

Deallocating xSTEAK from the Rewards plugin will stop the user from earning rewards. This can be completed at any time.

The deallocation fee is 0.5%, users who hold a STEAK.jpeg NFT are exempt from the deallocation fee.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://whitepaper-old.steakhut.finance/getting-started/steaking/rewards.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
